After the terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7th against Israel and the retaliatory strike by the Israeli army, which, alongside the deaths of Hamas members, led to the displacement and deaths of many civilians in the Gaza Strip, Germany faced an unprecedented rise in anti-Semitism among migrants, especially migrants from the Middle East.

Unfortunately, a significant number of Jews in Germany have been subjected to hate speech by migrants in the country.

On the other hand, right-wing anti-foreign groups, referring to these incidents, attempted to exploit the anti-Semitism among migrants for their own propaganda.

Therefore, under the management of Ehsan Abri, the project was designed for six months with the support of the Democracy Development Center of Schleswig-Holstein and the Democracy Development Organization and Amando Atneo Stiftung. The project aimed to ensure that during this period, participants would be able to learn about Jewish culture and religion and understand the difference between Jews living in Germany and the actions of the Israeli government.

This is because a significant number of Jews living in Germany are migrants who, after the end of the Cold War, immigrated from various countries in the Eastern Bloc to Central Europe and Germany.

These individuals migrated to practice their religious rituals and cultural affairs freely, and in reality, they have no legal responsibility for the actions of the Israeli government.

As they are not even citizens of Israel, being Jewish alone is not sufficient to hold them accountable for the actions of the Israeli government.

This project, initially designed for 16 participants, fortunately received a positive response, and more than 25 participants attended various sessions of the project.
